I am a clumsy person. I always have been, and I always will be. I bought one of my dogs a cute ceramic dog bowl online after I had tripped and shattered her previous one. The new one was slowly dying a death by a thousand chips. Every bump, knock, and slide would case another chip to come off. It was becoming a safety hazard. I needed to buy a new dog bowl, but I didn't want to get burned by the internet again.
I got a a plain bamboo melamine at my local store. Being bamboo melamine meant the end to my dog bowl chipping and shattering days, but it also left me with a boring dog bowl. My girl dog this bowl was for is anything but boring, so that would never do. Crafting to the rescue!
I fired up my Silhouette and made come different sized circles and typed out her name in a lovely cursive font (Autumn in November). I cut it out in Oracle 651 in gold. I placed her name front and center on the bowl. From there, I randomly placed the different sized circles around the rest of the bowl.
It turned out as beautiful and fun as Cybill is. I'm sure we'll both be enjoying her new bowl for years to come!
